Objective:

* I am looking for employment as a programmer or system administrator.
  Will consider junior/associate positions.

Education/Experience:

* 3 years of computer science at the New Mexico Institute
  of Mining and Technology in Socorro, NM.  Classes included:
    o 25 credit hours of Computer science including group projects in:
      software construction, operating systems, and compiler writing.
    o 14 credit hours of psychology.

* 10 months as a student Programmer I at the Petroleum Research
  Recovery Center in Socorro, NM.  Duties included user consulting,
  making backups, and writing user utilities.  Participated in coding
  for an in-house plotting package and a filesystem migration utility.

* 2.5 years of studies at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque NM.
  Classes included philosophy, sociology, journalism, linguistics, and
  political science.

Major personal projects:

* FORTHLISP: an implementation of LISP in FORTH
    o Over 1000 lines of FORTH code which implement a LISP interpreter.
    o FORTHLISP allowed easy mixing of LISP code and FORTH words.

* STRN: "Scan Threaded Read News"
    o Over 14,000 lines of C code added to trn.
    o More than 100K of new documentation.
    o Managed an alpha testing list with over 50 people.

Skills:

* Languages/Packages:
    o Fluent in C.  (working on learning C++)
    o Programming experience in BASIC, FORTH, FORTRAN, Pascal, and LISP.
    o Proficient in the TeX typesetting language.
    o X11 programming using Xlib.
    o Bourne and C shell programming.

* Systems used include:
    o A VAX-11/750 running BSD (those were the days :-).
    o Various Sun systems (from 3/60 to 4/400) with SunOs.
    o An HP-9000/800 running HP-UX.
    o Decstations (varying sizes) with Ultrix 4.3 and X Windows.
    o IBM RS6000 systems running AIX.
